Together with her husband, Svitlana founded the farming enterprise “AGRO-2025” during the full-scale war. The farm grows wheat and sunflowers in southern Ukraine.
They have to work close to the zone of active hostilities. At the start, the farm didn’t have enough of its own equipment, so agricultural machinery and transport were mostly rented.
Despite all the challenges, the first season was successful, and today the produce is purchased by the country’s largest agri-traders.
The next step is growth and greater self-sufficiency. Thanks to the state program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%,” the farm is developing its own equipment and machinery base 🚜. In particular, they have already purchased their own sprayer, which will help reduce dependence on rented equipment and increase efficiency.
