NDI Hosts Meeting with German Delegation

Kyiv, 11 March 2026 – The management of the National Development Institution (NDI) hosted representatives of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German development bank KfW for a working meeting in Kyiv.

The German delegation included Jens Busma, Head of the Economic Cooperation Division and BMZ representative at the Embassy of Germany in Kyiv; Lorenz Gessner, Director of the KfW Representative Office in Ukraine; and Thomas Eisenbach, Head of Division for Energy and Natural Resources for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at KfW.

The meeting focused on the progress of German-Ukrainian financial cooperation implemented through the NDI. The Ukrainian side expressed its appreciation for the continued support provided by the Government of Germany.

Participants also discussed further areas of cooperation between the NDI and KfW, including opportunities to introduce new financial instruments and support programmes.

Particular attention was given to initiatives aimed at supporting communities and private enterprises in strengthening energy resilience in the face of ongoing challenges. The NDI management presented potential areas and instruments of support that could be implemented in partnership with the German side.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation and advancing joint initiatives to support Ukraine’s economic and energy resilience.
