ARISE: Stories of Agribusinesses Strengthened Through Targeted Support

Ukraine is a leading agricultural country where small farms and family-owned enterprises play a critical role not only in ensuring food security, but also in creating jobs and fostering the development of local communities.

The ARISE Project provides agricultural producers with access to concessional financing through partner banks, enabling them to invest in modern machinery, infrastructure, processing capacity, and the implementation of ESG standards. The video features the stories of the farms “Flora,” “Lan,” “Mostyske Moloko,” and “Yukhymivske,” which, with ARISE support, were able to sustain production, strengthen business resilience, and strategically plan their future development.

The ARISE Project was launched by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and implemented in 2023–2025 by the Business Development Fund (now operating as the National Development Institution, NDI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The Project was financed through a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (USD 230 million) and grants from the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF) (USD 365 million).
