National Development Institution Participates in the Third Meeting of the UCORD Supervisory Board

The National Development Institution participated in the third meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Ukrainian Cohesion and Regional Development (UCORD)”, where members reviewed the project’s progress, assessed its achievements, and discussed priorities for the next phase of implementation.

The meeting focused on strengthening regional development policy, enhancing the institutional capacity of territorial communities, supporting regional development, and fostering partnerships among central and local authorities, businesses, and international partners. Participants also reviewed the project’s progress in partner regions, assessed the effectiveness of implemented initiatives, and identified priorities for future cooperation.

The National Development Institution was represented by Andrii Hapon, Chairman of the Management Board, and Ivan Vyshnevskyi, Deputy Head of the Donor-Funded Programmes Unit.

The National Development Institution is a partner of the UCORD project in implementing the Ideas Greenhouse programme, funded by Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by NIRAS Sweden AB. The programme supports the creative economy by providing grants to entrepreneurs with promising business ideas, helping them transform innovative concepts into sustainable projects that create new opportunities for the development of local communities.

During the discussion, Andrii Hapon presented an update on the programme’s implementation, noting that 50 grant agreements have already been concluded. He highlighted the high level of interest in the Ideas Greenhouse programme and proposed expanding its scope to include entrepreneurs from the tourism and HoReCa sectors. Such an expansion would enable a wider range of businesses to benefit from the programme while fostering new local initiatives that address the needs of communities.

The National Development Institution will continue its cooperation with the UCORD project, supporting initiatives that strengthen the capacity of territorial communities, promote interregional cooperation, and create new opportunities for entrepreneurship and Ukraine’s sustainable recovery.
