NDI and Caritas Explore Partnership Opportunities to Support Ukrainian Businesses

The National Development Institution (NDI) continues to strengthen cooperation with international partners. The NDI team held a working meeting with Andrea Berardi, Regional Director of Caritas Switzerland in Ukraine, and Vasyl Mikula, Head of the Livelihood Programme at Caritas Ukraine.

The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in supporting Ukraine’s micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Representing NDI were Vitalii Uliantsev, Head of the Donor-Funded Programmes Unit, and Mariia Husakova, Head of the International Technical Assistance Project Management Unit.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration, particularly in strengthening support for entrepreneurship. They agreed to further explore opportunities for joint initiatives and continue their dialogue.

For several years, Caritas Ukraine has been successfully implementing programmes that support entrepreneurship and livelihood recovery, helping people start and grow businesses, acquire new professional skills, and create jobs.

Strengthening partnerships between public institutions and international humanitarian organizations creates new opportunities to support Ukrainian businesses and contributes to the economic resilience of communities in the context of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

NDI remains committed to building effective partnerships that foster sustainable economic recovery and create new opportunities for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
