Valerii Maiboroda, First Deputy Chair of the Management Board of the National Development Institution (NDI), and Yevhenii Hlaus, Head of the Government Programmes Unit, met with representatives of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce: Fedir Omelinskyi, Chair of the Construction and Energy Efficiency Committee and Member of the Board, and Kateryna Prokhorova, Project Manager.
During the meeting, held at the National Development Institution’s office, the parties discussed opportunities to launch new initiatives aimed at supporting private households in implementing energy modernisation measures and adopting energy-efficient technologies. Particular attention was given to financing models, technical assistance, and the development of an enabling regulatory environment to support the implementation of such initiatives.
In the context of energy security challenges, the ongoing war, and the need to rebuild infrastructure, Ukraine requires comprehensive solutions that will not only expand energy generation capacity but also reduce electricity and heat consumption. Projects supporting private households will contribute not only to more efficient use of resources but also to stronger local communities, an improved quality of life, and sustainable development at the local level.
The participants expressed their mutual interest in continuing the dialogue and agreed to develop concrete project proposals in the near future.
