UNDP Ukraine, Ministry of Finance, and BDF discuss new project to support Ukraine

Representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP in Ukraine) held a working meeting with Yuriy Draganchuk, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine for European Integration, and members of the Board of the Business Development Fund.

During the discussion, the parties focused on creating an effective mechanism for financing the recovery and development of Ukraine, which involves the active involvement of private and institutional investments.

As a result of the meeting, the procedure for the preparation and participation of the BDF in a multi-component project for the country’s recovery was agreed upon. The initiative will combine a number of financial instruments, including credit guarantees, compensation for investment costs, technical assistance, and affordable financing.

The proposed mechanism for financing recovery and development is positioned as a stimulating financial platform aimed at supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction, fulfilling its commitments within the framework of European integration, and accelerating the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
