Financial Support Navigator
Representatives of the World Bank and URTF donor countries, including Austria, the Netherlands and Indonesia, visited agricultural businesses in the Kyiv region to see firsthand how international support is helping Ukrainian businesses remain resilient and continue to grow.
The visit was joined by Denys Bashlyk, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, and Andrii Hapon, Chairperson of the Board of the National Development Institution (NDI).
The delegation visited two agricultural enterprises that are benefiting from the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% programme with support from the World Bank through the ARISE project.
International partnership is an investment in Ukraine’s resilience and economic recovery.
Through ARISE, Ukrainian agricultural producers have access to affordable financing under the 5-7-9% programme. This helps businesses maintain operations, meet working capital needs and continue investing in the development and recovery of Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
“Cooperation with the World Bank under the 5-7-9% programme and the ARISE project is not only about access to affordable financing. It also brings international best practices into Ukraine’s banking system, including environmental and social standards and targeted support for priority groups, including veteran-owned businesses and vulnerable groups,” said Andrii Hapon, Chairperson of the Board of NDI.
NDI will continue expanding access to financing for Ukrainian businesses and strengthening cooperation with international partners to support the resilience and development of Ukraine’s economy.
