BDF and German Development Bank KfW Discuss Potential New Projects in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the ReBuild Ukraine Conference in Warsaw

On the sidelines of the fifth international ReBuild Ukraine conference in Warsaw, Valerii Maiboroda, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Business Development Fund (BDF), held a working meeting with representatives of the KfW teams responsible for energy project financing and municipal development initiatives.

The discussion focused on exploring new mechanisms for efficient and sustainable financing of local communities, municipal enterprises, and renewable energy projects through concessional loans and portfolio credit risk guarantees aimed at enhancing the resilience of Ukraine’s energy sector.
These talks gained additional momentum following the transformation of the Business Development Fund into the National Development Institution, which opens new opportunities to attract investment and expand support for businesses — particularly in the energy sector, one of the areas most affected by the war.

The ReBuild Ukraine conference in Warsaw brought together Ukrainian and international companies, investors, and government representatives to coordinate efforts on Ukraine’s recovery.

The main thematic areas of the event included infrastructure, energy, industry, and housing development.
